Quite a bit out on the way out of town to the North-West. Part of the Vintage Inns chain, this large pub lies to the North of York city centre in Clifton. The pub is obviously aimed at selling food rather than beer. Hop bines stuck around the ceiling and stacks of chopped wood are obviously there to create the feeling of an old, homely pub. The food itself is pretty good, but the choice fairly limited on Sundays. Beers include Bass, Calders and Tetleys. Not really one for a bar crawl though, mainly due to its location.
