Named after the last two people to be hung in the area, this pub is fairly long and thin. It serves an excellent choice of beer. The atmosphere is friendly. Owned by Tynemill, but it was York Brewery's third pub in York (they always sold really excellent beer too). The room at the back actually used to be outside. When this pub was The Queen, it had a fairly rough reputation, the beer was okay, but it certainly wasn't for students.
